Don't Fear the Reaper

I'm not sure that there is any more praise I can heap on this second book in the Indian Lake Trilogy then has been said elsewhere. But I am going to try.

Many times second books in a trilogy suffer from 2nd book syndrome, nothing really happens in the storyline because it is just used as a bridge from the intro to the finale. Don't Fear the Reaper is a true story in itself. It can be read as a stand alone story, but I think someone really has to read the first book to understand some of the subtle character interactions involved in the many returning characters.

Mr Graham Jones is going to have a tough time making sure his next book lives up to this one.
