The title truly describes the work: a combination of spy thriller and witchcraft fantasy which tries to make sense of a cold-world era battle in terms of spies who are also magically empowered.

This work taps into the late 20th century fad of crystal powers and ley lines that swept over the world and faded almost as fast. But what if it was really true, and what if the people most empowered by these abilities ae also cold-war spies?

I suppose if ordinary spy thrillers are not enough for you, and flat out witchcraft fantasy is not your preferred genre, there might be some fun in seeing how the multiple authors try to mix the two together without turning it into Bullwinkle and Rocky meet Boris and Natasha with magic wands.

Unfortunately, that's basically what you end up with. Not quote as comical and ironic as the legendary cartoon, but just as outrageous and over the top, with lots of cartoon violence that seems to have little impact on the pelple of Prague as a whole.

Multi-author stories have severe problems with style and plot structure, and this book is no exception.

No reason to read this unless you are seduced by the topic, and possibly not even then.
