Reliquary

Second book, didn't realize this is almost a direct sequel to the first book. It was nearly as good, and was an exciting read. All the right thriller beats were hit.

It's roughly 18 months since the first book, was roughly three years for the author and roughly 8 years for this reader. The story is similar, but has differences. Not sure I like all the characters that much, but I understand that the cast changes considerably moving forward - we focus on FBI Pendergast after this.

Will I read the next? Yes - though I will skip over to read the first Nora Kelly book first - Thunderhead. I still want to carve out time to watch the movie of the first book, even if Pendergast was completely scrubbed from it.
