Messiah

I'm sad more people haven't read Mr. Swann (really Swiniarski's) works. Highly enjoyable, fast paced action sci fi, with a focus on current technologies expanded into the future (genetics, nano, a.i.). The books are very fun, and smart enough that you won't - and shouldn't - feel stupid for liking them. Basically a sci-fi equivalent of Neal Stephenson. I was up all night!
