Eragon

As a light in between read I read Eragon by Christopher Paolini. A basic fantasy book, with a hero who stumbles on what later turns out to be a dragon egg. A long time ago there used to be a lot of dragon riders in the land, but they were all killed by one of their own, who is now an evil king. Anyway, we follow Eragon as he tries to avenge his uncle’s death and he trains.

The story obviously takes a lot from other fantasy novels but as a fun read it is ok. Three stars out of five.
