The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms

Beautiful prose, amazing side character, but the protagonist was too passive for me and the few of the Hundred Thousand Kingdoms we get to see didn't really come to life for me at all. Didn't like the ending much - to still give it 4 stars out of five, that should tell you how amazing I found Jemisin's writing style.
