This "weird west" tale retells the story of Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday through a steampunk lens. It's mostly good fun, though it seems at times to try a little too hard to squeeze in all the steampunk tropes. You've got lots of brass armor, strange weapons (made of brass), robot women (made of brass), and horseless carriages (made of brass). You've also got Native American black magic thrown in there, though I'm not sure it was necessary. It gives it a sort of weird flavor, as it tries to be both fantasy and science fiction.

Still, I really liked it, overall, and since the book mostly followed Doc Holliday, a well written character, I will probably read the sequel, which is already out.
