Pilgrimage

I truly enjoyed this novel! While the plot is no longer original-aliens having crashed on earth and trying to blend in to survive-and the relatioships between main characters are simplistic-a lot of true love at first sight-the writing is often poetic. In addition she writes convincingly of the despair of depression and clearly has first hand knowledge of teaching young children. I wanted the school marms to befriend me!!
