I read this about five years ago and have since read three of the sequels, Forever Odd, Brother Odd and Odd Hours. All the sequels are good but I think the original Odd Thomas story is the best.
A very intriguing character, best of all a great story that has a good pace with plenty happening. Lots of interesting other characters.
However the best thing about this book is the creativity, supernatural goings on and also the fact that sadly a very likeable main character does not make the end of the story. My favourite part is something I will never forget and do not want to spoil it for others - when Odd housebreaks what follows is my favourite type of writing and creation something very imaginative and absorbing to read.
A good book with very intersting sections and characters, hugely enjoyable.
