For all of its originality this book fell flat for me in a big way. I really wanted to like this book, and I kept plugging along long past the point where my interest waned and I became annoyed by the main character, the book, and by Jo Anderton.
There is really not much to say about this book and that's the thing. Given the subject matter and the plot I should have a lot to say about this book. However the execution is mediocure and in the end I found it to be underwhelming at best.
I can say that the plot is interesting and the ideas behind the book are as well. But the world builing is very lacking, the character development so so, and the tone of the book is firmly set at "bored".
So in the end it's blah.
