There is so much bad UF out there these days, but I have to say I REALLY enjoyed this book. Lots of action, lots of fun, a backstory that at least makes sense....lol
Jane Yellowrock walked out of the woods at the age of 12, not knowing language or having any memories. Some think she was 'raised by wolves' but she knows the Beast inside her would never have let that happen.
During this story, where Jane hires out as a rogue vampire hunter, some of the situations she faces starts to bring old memories to the surface...Meanwhile, the 'Rogue vamp' is starting to seem more like something very familiar...
There arent too many Skinwalker type series out there, so this was a refreshing new type. Plus the locale of New Orleans is a well loved spot for me, and its descriptions rang true.
