Mission of Gravity

Hal Clement's writing style is similar to that of Asimov. Mission of Gravity is the story of a trek, of obstacles overcome. The story is interesting but not particularly compelling. I did like the ending though - good ending.

The primary characters are beings on a planet with exterme gravity, too much gravity for Human beings. It reminded me of a book I read years ago, Dragon's Egg by Robert Forward in which beings on a neutron star are visited by humans, who must remain in orbit.
