I very much enjoyed this second volume of military SF from Marko Kloos. Maybe not quite as much as the first - there didn't seem to be many significant new characters introduced this time - but it's still a highly readable and action-packed tale. I'd probably never have picked it up without the Kindle Lending Library, and that would be a great shame.

The war is going very badly for humanity, and despite the relentless advance of the invaders we still insist on fighting each other. Our hero, Andrew Grayson, is right in the thick of it, trying to make sense of it, and trying to do the right thing.

I'm looking forward to the next book. I've given this one 3.5/5.
