I expected nothing from this book. It didn't sound that fantastic from the description, and I couldn't work up any enthusiasm for it at all. But because it is Scalzi, I read it anyway, and I'm I glad I did. I was hooked from the first chapter, and read it straight through in one sitting.
A little bit of a murder mystery, with an interesting detective. A fascinating post plague world, and a whole lot of fun. Who could ask for more?
