I am ambivilent about Urban Fantasy. The kickarse female covered in tattoos and weilding a sword just doesn't do it for me. This book was a refreshing change. Two brothers, one human, one half monster. They are on the run from the monster side of the family when all hell breaks loose.

What is best about these books is the wonderfully relationship between the brothers, Nikos and Cal. Think Supernatural's Sam and Dean, but better.

The plot is good, the evil character that arrives halfway through the book is menacing, and even the supporting cast of characters are interesting.
