Icing on the cake. A cherry on the sunday. A last kiss from the Clockwork Century. Far closer to horror with monsters, than steampunk, Jacaranda is a quick intense read. Set on Galveston island during a hurricane, Jacaranda is the story of a fight between something very old and an odd assortment of people drawn into the maw of the maelstrom.
Highly recommended.
