An almost perfect book, following the idolization of happiness to its logical end. Except for the atheistic absolutism of it, which I think may have contradicted the stated philosophical conclusion, it was enjoyable and consistent. It deserves to be more widely read.
Also, it did not read like a must sci-fi book from the 1950s. I found myself several times surprised by the mentions of paper books and such, which would probably not be included if the book were written today. The over-all tone of the book made it feel quite contemporary to me, so the archaic references were odd.
