Just as fun as the first book - but very different. Whereas the first book dealt with Roen Tan's growing up and becoming a (sort of) capable agent the second one occurs after the end of his apprenticeship. The conflict between Prophus and Genjix is ramping up fast, Roen and Tao are in the middle of it - and his family life pays the price.
Includes parts from a Genjix point of view and more revelations about Earth history.
Warning: It ends on a cliffhanger that made me buy and start the third book about five minutes later.
I recommend this just as much as "Lives".
