What if the zombie apocalypse struck a world full of superheroes? That question begins to be answered in Ex-Heroes. Yes, there are superhero stereotypes. But that's what this is about, right? What if zombies spread through a world with superheroes? Who wouldn't want to see what happens when Superman and Batman fight a zombie outbreak? Here it's St. George (formerly the Mighty Dragon) and Stealth, with one being the boy scout and the other being ruthlessly efficient. That's what makes it interesting, usuing these steroetypes to explore what could happen in this type of global collapse. It's one of the things that made Soon I Will Be Invincible so much fun to read, too, playing with those stereotypes. I have read many reviews calling this book racist and I didn't get that at all. I actually quite enjoyed this book and am excited that there are at least 3 others in the series. As Ernest Cline observed, this is "The Avengers meets The Walking Dead."
