This is the second book of the Dark Tower series. Roland of Gilead continues his journey to the Tower. But the gunslinger cannot complete it on his own, so he meets three characters on the way, as predicted by the man in black. These characters are summoned through mysterious portal doors that open to a different world, that of the contemporary US. It is quite interesting to witness how the gunslinger perceives our world that is completely alien to him.

This book is a bit different from the first one. King said that he likes this one better, as the characters and the story are developed better. But I think that the first one has a better atmosphere and reveals much more various locations of this dreamy Roland's world that lays in ruins, whilst in The Drawing of the Three, the location is quite static and unchanging. Of course, Roland does travel to a different world but his own world is much more interesting, it has its own rules, traditions and mysteries. I can't wait to discover it more in detail.

I loved the audio version which is very vivid, the narrator's voice and style are perfectly suited for the book. I am a big fan ofFrank Muller.
