The Drowning Eyes

I really liked this novella. I do wish that it was part of a series, but I'm very happy with how Foster managed to narrow her focus. She does a wonderful job at allowing the reader to discover how the world works without slowing the action with pages of explanation from one character to another.

I loved loved loved that there were so many women of color and so many not straight characters. It was nice to see them get to have adventures and also deal with problems that are not limited to (or directly related to) their skin color or sexual orientation.
