This book is more of a novella than a novel. It is also more of a philosophical tract than science fiction story. It bears resemblance to Orwell's Animal Farm in that sense. Set in the future it could also be compared to 1984 or Brave New World. It is not so much a story as an illustration of the idea of individualism over collectivism. A fairly quick an easy read I would recommend for anyone who enjoyed those works mentioned above. I found both The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged stimulating reading, if not always enjoyable. This book was much simpler and easily digestible than those works. Not for those looking for a sci-first escapist read or book with a lot of plot points or character arc.
