I re-read this Narnia novel 5th, although it sequentially falls 3rd after the Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. This novel has the feel of an Arabian Nights story which sets it apart from the other Narnia novels. It also differs in that it's main character comes from the world of Narnia and does not transport there from Earth. There is a talking horse from Narnia who features importantly early on in the novel, but takes only a small role in the last two thirds of the novel. This is unfortunate as he is one of the most entertaining characters in the book. The novel has a satisfying conclusion but the middle part of the novel dragged for me, hence the 3 star rating.
