A mixed -- but excellent -- bag
Cornell is best known for his work on Doctor Who scripts and Marvel and DC comics -- and there are (unusual) stories of the superhero realm here, as well as some sly pastiches on other well-known fantasy authors' domains.
But Cornell is also conversant with hard SF concepts, and there are some exceptional exemplars of that here, including "The Ghosts of Christmas" and -- my personal favorite -- four Jonathan Hamilton stories.
No matter the reader's area of interest, this collection is sure to provide some which are right up their alley -- and some which introduce them to new areas of exploration.
