Nightwings

An entertaining book, takes place in the far future of earth - more fantasy than science fiction. Somehow, I felt that the book is misnamed. The title refers to one of the supporting characters, Avluela the flyer, a delicate fairy-like girl with wings. She is present for the first part of the book and reappears at the end.

Had I not known the author, and were told that the author was Ursula K Le Guin, I would not have disputed it.
