Ringworld

Overrated. The characterizations are just....bad. Original and brilliant idea that falls flat in the execution because the reader cannot care about the characters at all. Furthermore, you get the impression that so much more could be done with this concept. Instead we get a boring trek back and forth between 2 points where the Ringworld has been punctured. Granted, the physics involved with the eye storm and Fist-of-God mountain are interesting, but this is all for naught when you consider the story overall disappoints.
