Critics and sociologist have for years tried to translate zombie fiction to various social or economic plights. One of the favorite is that of the mindless consumer. In his short story Michael Swanwick takes this idea and spins it just a little. What if those mindless consumers became the product. Although this is a good story, the message is just a tad too blunt and obvious.
This zombie tale is not scary, just sad.
