Biography
Born Madelaine Elizabeth Duke in Switzerland of Dutch parents. Duke was a UK writer and physician, who was active under her own name and at least two pseudonyms in a variety of genres including sf novels (which she describes as "cartoons"). SF books were written under the pseudonym Maxim Donne.
