Biography
Kate Emery lives in Perth and works as a senior reporter for the West Australian. The Not So Chosen One is her first book and was shortlisted for the 2020 Text Prize.
Kate Emery joined The West Australian in 2007 as a business reporter and has gone on to cover local government and women's issues. She writes regular opinion columns, one of which prompted a response so hilariously abusive she still brings it up at parties. She got her start in media working on women's magazines in London and worked as a junior reporter at WA's Community Newspaper Group.
