Biography
Terence Michael Green was a Canadian science-fiction and fantasy writer. He received a BA in English in 1967 from the University of Toronto, an MA from University College, Dublin, and a BEd in 1973 from the University of Toronto.
Green published both short stories and novels. His works focused on characterization and explore the complexity of social relationships, and have been work translated into French, Italian, Danish, Polish and Portuguese. He received five nominations for the Prix Aurora, for both short and long-form fiction, and was twice been nominated for the World Fantasy Award for Best Novel.
In 1968, Green married Penny Dakin, whom he divorced in 1990; they have two sons, Conor and Owen. He married Merle Casci in 1994, with whom he has one son, Daniel. Green retired from teaching English at East York Collegiate Institute, where he worked since 1968, and taught creative-writing part-time at Western University (London, Ontario, Canada).
Green, 78, died December 19, 2025, after a long battle with prostate cancer.
