If anyone is looking for 'historical fiction fantasy fairy tale romance' then I'll give 'Upon A Starlit Tide' by Kell Woods a strong recommendation. It's a little on the nose at times blending Cinderella, The Little Mermaid and a few others (spoilers!) but it does exactly what it is designed to do. It balances the tropes of a light fairy tale romance with underpinning tensions of war and finding oneself. Enjoyed it a lot.
