Location: Great Lakes, USA		I read the whole Belgariad series, one right after the other, the summer after my senior year in college. One of my housemates had the set and said they were really good. I can't believe I read all five, but I kept hearing "it gets better" every time I'd say something negative. The entire plot was outlined in the preface of the first book and the entire plot was totally predictable. They weren't considered a Young Adult books back then. Had they been, I doubt I would have read them. After four years of technical books and barely any fiction, I didn't want to waste time on YA fiction, which I have never really liked, and waste the three months that I had to read anything I wanted before it was back to the technical books again. That series soured fantasy for me. I didn't read fantasy again until A Game of Thrones came out and I had to be talked into reading that.
