Random quote: "The way I see it, being dead is not terribly far off from being on a cruise ship. Most of your time is spent lying on your back. The brain has shut down. The flesh begins to soften. Nothing much new happens, and nothing is expected of you." ― Mary Roach, Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers

35 years or so ago I read a scifi short story about a musician with a symbiote named Icky I believe.

If anybody knows the author and or name of it, I'd really appreciate it.

Obviously it made an impression if I'm recalling it now.

It had a really sad ending that was very moving.

Also, does anybody else really want badly to see A.E.Van Voght's Resurrection / The Monster made into a film ?
