Could you add "Empress of All Seasons" by Emiko Jean. It's a fantasy set in a world inspired by Japanese culture and mythology.
Thank you!

It's in for you.

What do you think about adding the stories that are written for the Magic: The Gathering website? I've just read Brandon Sanderson's "Children of the Nameless" from there and it was a decent book.

Well, did a little shopping. HPB for the win. Could we please add:

Messengers of Darkness, by Hugh Walker. I think it's part of a series
Demon Blade, by Mark A. Garland and Charles G. McGraw
The Slaves of Heaven, by Edmund Cooper

And several titles by Graham Diamond:
Cinnabar
the Thief of Kalimar
Lady of the Haven
The Falcon Eden
The Beasts of Hades

thanks

Hi Hneite,

This is a self-published work, and right now we aren't including these on WWEnd unless they are nominated for an award we cover. Since there are hundreds of self-published authors, and a lot of them put out 6 to 12 novels a year (this author put out 28 works from 2014 to 2018), you can understand why it would be an overwhelming amount of work to try to keep up with self-published novels.

Hi all,

I've managed to recover all of the Book Request posts and Uber User posts from my deleted e-mail notifications going back to the beginning of March.

Whatever we end up with, we'll be able to get things back to where we were as much as possible. My good thoughts go out to the Admin group as they deal with this sad and frustrating situation.

Please hold on to your book requests for the moment, until we know that we've got a stable database restored.

You have added The Electric State by Simon Stålenhag (which is shortlisted for the 2019 Clarke Award). Would it be possible to add "Tales from the Loop" and "Things from the Flood" by the same author (or are those considered self-published as Tales from the Loop was originally a Kickstarter project)?  Cheers.

Hi! I'm so glad to see the site is back up and running again and hoping the data reentry process is not too painful.

I've been through and added all the books I've read since the "reset" and am noting the ones that aren't currently in the database. Obviously I'm not expecting any miracles!

The Call by Peadar O'Guilin
The Invasion by Peadar O'Guilin (Lodestar nominated)
David Mogo, Godhunter by Suyi Davies Okungbowa
The Fire Opal Mechanism by Fran Wilde
Pimp my Airship by Maurice Broaddus
Peasprout Chen: Battle of Champions by Henry Lien
The Very Best of Caitlin R. Kiernan
Shadowblade by Anna Kashina
Her Silhouette, Drawn in Water by Vylar Kaftan
Five Unicorn Flush by T.J. Berry
A Hero Born by Jin Yong
A Thousand Beginnings and Endings ed. Ellen Oh and Elsie Chapman
Seafire by Natalie C. Parker
Mother of Invention Ed. Tansy Rayner Roberts and Rivqa Rafael
The Half God of Rainfall by Inua Ellams

Hi there

I just want to check before posting requests - now that the site seems to be mostly recovered do you (the Admins and Uber users) want us to repost requests for books that have been lost due to the recent troubles or are they already in hand?

Thanks in advance.

Hey, not a request for new books, but I wasn't sure where else to ask this: I really like the site and would love to become more involved. Is there any way I can volunteer to help with data entry for new books and short stories? I don't see any information about it in the FAQ.

That is an excellent question. I think for now the answer is no to reposting. We have various lists of missing content in hand and will start chipping away at those now. Once we get through those lists we'll come back 'round and ask folks to let us know if we missed anything.

Just to set expectations, we're open to new book requests but damage control will be taking priority so your requests may take some time to go through.

Another great question! Periodically we will invite long-term/active members to become Uber Users. We will definitely be extending more invitations now that we're past "The Troubles." Now that I know you want to volunteer I've added you to out potential Ubers list. I'll try to get some invitations out this week so keep an eye on your email.

I am still without power at my house after the big storm on Sunday so I'm way behind on the work I need to do. Fingers crossed I'll get power today but they keep saying Thursday

Thanks very much for your generous offer of support!

The listing for Philip Francis Nowlan's Armageddon 2149 is a collection of two novellas (accurately described in the synopsis), the first is Armageddon 2149, while the 2nd is the Airlords of Han. The earliest publication date is listed as 1962, when the two novellas were combined, but the originals were released in 1928 and 1929 which is a significant difference and avoids confusions with the additional information that these tales gave rise to the Buck Rogers character.

Would it be possible to add the two novellas. Amazon has the Project Gutenburg versions.
