Since there are hundreds of self-published authors, and a lot of them put out 6 to 12 novels a year (this author put out 28 works from 2014 to 2018), you can understand why it would be an overwhelming amount of work to try to keep up with self-published novels. illegible scribble

Uber User Posts: 1057 | Hi all, I've managed to recover all of the Book Request posts and Uber User posts from my deleted e-mail notifications going back to the beginning of March. Whatever we end up with, we'll be able to get things back to where we were as much as possible. My good thoughts go out to the Admin group as they deal with this sad and frustrating situation. Please hold on to your book requests for the moment, until we know that we've got a stable database restored.

Member Posts: 13 Location: Pacific Northwest | You have added The Electric State by Simon Stålenhag (which is shortlisted for the 2019 Clarke Award). Would it be possible to add "Tales from the Loop" and "Things from the Flood" by the same author (or are those considered self-published as Tales from the Loop was originally a Kickstarter project)? Cheers. Edited by tokyoadam 2019-05-20 6:46 PM

Regular Posts: 51 | Hi! I'm so glad to see the site is back up and running again and hoping the data reentry process is not too painful. Veteran Posts: 116 Location: Sheffield, UK | Hi there I just want to check before posting requests - now that the site seems to be mostly recovered do you (the Admins and Uber users) want us to repost requests for books that have been lost due to the recent troubles or are they already in hand? Thanks in advance. Naomi

Member Posts: 43 Location: Chicago, IL | Hey, not a request for new books, but I wasn't sure where else to ask this: I really like the site and would love to become more involved. Is there any way I can volunteer to help with data entry for new books and short stories? I don't see any information about it in the FAQ.

Thanks in advance. Naomi That is an excellent question. I think for now the answer is no to reposting. We have various lists of missing content in hand and will start chipping away at those now. Once we get through those lists we'll come back 'round and ask folks to let us know if we missed anything. Just to set expectations, we're open to new book requests but damage control will be taking priority so your requests may take some time to go through.

Is there any way I can volunteer to help with data entry for new books and short stories? I don't see any information about it in the FAQ. Another great question! Periodically we will invite long-term/active members to become Uber Users. We will definitely be extending more invitations now that we're past "The Troubles." Now that I know you want to volunteer I've added you to out potential Ubers list. I'll try to get some invitations out this week so keep an eye on your email. I am still without power at my house after the big storm on Sunday so I'm way behind on the work I need to do. Fingers crossed I'll get power today but they keep saying Thursday Thanks very much for your generous offer of support!

Regular Posts: 77 | The listing for Philip Francis Nowlan's Armageddon 2149 is a collection of two novellas (accurately described in the synopsis), the first is Armageddon 2149, while the 2nd is the Airlords of Han. The earliest publication date is listed as 1962, when the two novellas were combined, but the originals were released in 1928 and 1929 which is a significant difference and avoids confusions with the additional information that these tales gave rise to the Buck Rogers character. Would it be possible to add the two novellas. Amazon has the Project Gutenburg versions. https://www.amazon.com/Armageddon-2419-D-Philip-Francis-Nowlan-ebook... https://www.amazon.com/Airlords-Han-Philip-Francis-Nowlan-ebook/dp/B...
