Beautiful and brilliant sorcerer girls just can't have nice things, huh? All I wanted to do was swipe a little bit of bandit treasure. So Gourry and I agreed to escort Sylphiel to her family in Saillune City, but she didn't tell me her uncle was hiding the most wanted man in town--P-P-Prince Phil. (Ugh! Blech!) We thus get drawn into some nobel family drama that, you guessed it, blows up royally. Good thing Princess Amelia is every bit as plucky as she is powerful!

Wait, she's traveling with us now? Turns out we might need the help! We're just minding our own merry business one minute, and the next, some lady shows up and steals my magic! You'll never guess this one, because we'll be dealing with a cult, some possessed armor, a magical beast, and one mysterious priest before we get to the bottom of things ourselves.

Then we receive an invitation from our old pal Zuma the assassin, who wants me to come to Vezendi. I'm guessing he's not interested in catching up over tea, huh? As if that wasn't enough, there's also skullduggery afoot between Xellos and some other shadowy figures. What gives? I mean, I know I'm good, but I swear! These demons just can't get enough of me!

I know everyone wants a piece of me, virtuoso sorcerer Lina Inverse, but the demons have really been on my case lately. It's like they're out to get me or something! In hopes of finding out why, we take a special trip to Dragons' Peak to consult with the legendary Claire Bible...

Or, at least, that was the plan! But what starts out as a quest for cosmic insight turns into a fight for our lives when the dreaded Chaos Dragon Gaav shows up. And what starts out as a fight for our lives turns into a murder/kidnapping when... Hellmaster Fibrizo shows up?! Talk about escalation! Now, on top of saving the world, we've gotta go save Gourry. Great.

Truth be told, I'm still not entirely sure how to explain how we get ourselves out of that one. It's a real doozy of a story that, uh, may or may not involve losing the Sword of Light. (Whoops?) So next, we're off to find my guy a new toy. Time for some classic lighthearted adventuring that won't lead to any demonic trouble at all! No siree!

The quest for a magic sword continues! Gourry and I try our luck in Solaria, where an innocent bit of weapons-based extortion leads to a full-on cloak-and-dagger conspiracy. Hoo boy.

Next up, we hit the lake town of Crimson after the council puts out an all call for available sorcerers. See, they quietly want to quash a little insurrection that a local sorcerers' council leader started. (It's bad for business and all.) But when Gourry and I arrive on the scene, the true tragedy afoot isn't quite what we were led to believe.

Needless to say, I've just about had it with all this shadowy intrigue. Frankly, I could go the rest of my life without ever seeing another demon again too. So, wait... what the heck are we doing back in Gyria City now?!

Following some great news (not) from an old friend about the impending end of the world, Gourry and I are right back in Gyria City to get to the bottom of the surging hordes of demidemons terrorizing the place. And you can rest assured it's not that simple.

Afterward, we take a chill trip (not) to the so-called City of Temples, where the local church bigwigs are all at each other's throats after a recent arson-slash-murder. Nothing like a little suspicion to bring out the best in people, eh?

Then, boy, am I glad to be off to Sairaag again (not)! There's no two ways about it--the hard-luck town is the epicenter of all the creepy shenanigans going on lately. So what better way to put a stop to it than to go there and handle it myself? After all, this one turns out to be personal...

A Chance Encounter in Atessa

So, a virtuoso sorcerer and a master swordsman walk into a bar... Yeah, you've heard this one before. The locals immediately hit 'em up for a job because they look sooo powerful and the town's just that dang desperate for help. In the case of Atessa, city of blacksmiths, there's apparently some funny business going down in the surrounding woods. Mines are being attacked, caravans raided--the whole shebang. Yup, there's definitely something foul afoot in this forest. Frankly, I don't care to find out what, but if the price is right...

The Long Road Home

Everyone wants to visit home once in a while, right? Even me, the brave and beautiful sorcerer Lina Inverse! Thus my trusty (if dimwitted) traveling companion and I set off on a meandering journey toward my hometown... Welp, I don't have to tell you it all goes horribly wrong, do I? Pretty soon, we're forced to make the best of ending up somewhere that is decidedly NOT our intended destination. It'd be one thing if we merely needed to get ourselves back on track, but--no surprise--everyone in this new locale wants a piece of little ol' me. So, yeah, we're kinda sorta on the run now...
