Could you please double check? -the walruswalrii - 2020-08-26 5:53 PM Could you please add Timothy Zahn's Dragonback Series? - Dragon and Thief - Dragon and Soldier - Dragon and Slave - Dragon and Herdsman - Dragon and Judge - Dragon and Liberator Done deal. So, what has happened here is that there is a "dot" in between the words in the title that appears to be a design element on the cover -- ?not an ampersand -- which is confusing because it does look like a stylized ampersand. The actual titles are Dragon Thief and Dragon Princess etc. They are listed that way on ISFDB, Amazon and DAW's own website. The author's site has them as Dragon.Thief, Dragon.Princess etc. with the middle dot, rather than a regular dot or ampersand, for some reason. As everyone seems to be ignoring the dot we have as well. Search for them without the ampersand and you'll find them. S. Andrew Swann or Andrew Swann both work just fine in the search for me. Thanks for looking into this. Yes, there is a "Dragon Thief" by Andrew Swann. But the 6 book Dragonback Series (first book called "Dragon and Thief") is by Timothy Zahn. The books do not appear on his page http://www.worldswithoutend.com/author.asp?ID=1420. See https://www.goodreads.com/series/49579-dragonback -the walrus

Went off on a wild dragon chase. Not sure what happened to those books but I do remember making the cover images for them because they needed a lot of work to make them look good. I can find the images still but no sign of the books. We have 365 books with "dragon" in the title by the way. All I can think is that I thought I had entered them into the DB when all I had done was fix up the cover images. I will enter them this evening my work break has run out and I have to get back to painting. Sorry for the double confusion!

Uber User Posts: 1057 | finminer - 2020-09-29 3:51 PM John Scalzi has another Dispatcher novella out, called "Murder by Other Means." Could you please add it? Thank you! Right now this has only been released as an audiobook, and I can't find a cover release for the book, which is coming from Subterranean Press in 2021. If you ask again once the print book (or at least the cover) is out, we can get this added for you.

Uber User Posts: 1057 | lisagarrity - 2020-10-01 5:18 PM The Best of Xero edited by Pat and Dick Lupoff Best New Fantasy edited by Sean Wallace These are in. I've been trying to add some of the past finalists for Hugo Related Work, so was happy to do so. Just a caution: if you forget to include a book in your request, just put it in a new post, instead of editing your first post. I got an e-mail notification about the first book, added it, and almost didn't see your edited request for the second book. Cheers! Edited by illegible_scribble 2020-10-01 10:35 PM

The Waters of Centaurus plus the first book in the series, Galactic Sibyl Sue Blue Those Brown books are very much... a product of their time.

Hi ScoLgo, this is a self-published work and thus falls outside the realm of works we include in the database. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

This is an interesting factoid I learned a couple of years ago: anyone can buy an ISBN number! However, it is more cost-effective for publishers who buy large numbers of them. A lot of self-published authors have formed cooperatives which can buy ISBNs in bulk and sell them to members at a price which is less expensive than for an individual purchasing just one ISBN.
