Biography
S.L. "Lisa" Huang graduated from MIT with a degree in math. She wrote three novels for fun before deciding she was ready to pursue a professional writing career with her fourth, Zero Sum Game. An advocate of information freedom, she chooses to publish her books under a Creative Commons license.
She has sold her short fiction to The Book Smugglers and Strange Horizons.
Recreationally, Huang horseback rides, rock climbs, and trains in aerial circus. She also has a passion for studying weaponry; she is an adept sword fighter and shoots at the Expert Rifleman level.
Huang's travels have taken her to Costa Rica to volunteer in entomology field research and to China to teach computer science at Dalian University of Technology and Zhejiang University. Someday she hopes to be rich enough to go into space.
She now lives in Los Angeles with many guns and an imaginary cat.
