Biography
US SF critic and professor of English Language and Literature, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Rabkin has authored a number of critical works on genre, and in 2010 he received the Science Fiction Research Association's Pilgrim Award for lifetime achievement in science fiction scholarship. He has also prepared and presented a 24 lecture course on genre for The Teaching Company's Great Courses series titled Masterpieces of the Imaginative Mind: Literature's Most Fantastic Works (2007).
