Biography
Melissa Edmundson specializes in nineteenth and early twentieth-century British literature, with particular interest in women writers, ghost stories, Gothic literature, and Anglo-Indian popular fiction. In 2011, she completed the first scholarly edition of Alice Perrin's East of Suez (1901) for Victorian Secrets Publishing, and her monograph, Women's Ghost Literature in Nineteenth-Century Britain was published in 2013 by the University of Wales Press. Her next book, which examines British women's Colonial Gothic writing (c.1850-1930), is forthcoming from Palgrave.
