Biography
Patricia studied Science at Indiana University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. While raising her family, she was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in English at Goshen College and later attended Purdue University, where she got her Master's degree in English. Later the University of Wisconsin presented her with her Doctoral in English.
Her love of books led her into a lifelong career of reading, writing, and teaching English. Pat started writing short stories for her children, then later to fulfill her bachelor's requirements. She became an accomplished author. Her initial publications were articles in scholarly publications, but she found her forte in Science Fiction. She authored or coauthored dozens of anthologies, textbooks, critiques, analyses and an in-depth study of Philip K. Dick, who became a close friend, along with earning multiple awards and honors throughout her career.
