Biography
John R. Douglas was born October 5, 1948 in Toronto, Canada. After college he moved to New York where he settled down with his partner of over 50 years, Ginger Buchanan.
In his nearly 40-year career as an editor he worked for publishers such as Avon, Harper Prism, Simon & Schuster and other online publications. He was a journalist and editor for Science Fiction Chronicle (2002-2005), and a longtime board member for the World Fantasy Convention. He received a World Fantasy Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2023.
John passed away at 74 years of age on August 3, 2023 in New York.
