Biography

Chris Moriarty was born in 1968 and has lived in the United States, Europe, Southeast Asia and Latin America. Before falling back on science fiction, she worked as a ranch hand, horse trainer, backcountry guide, all-purpose tourist industry flunky, grade school art teacher, and (ahem, sorry) lawyer. Her books include hard SF novels Spin State, Spin Control, and Ghost Spin, as well as the children's fantasy, The Inquisitor's Apprentice. She also reviews science fiction (and occasionally fantasy too) at The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction.
