And I have wrapped up this year's challenge with 'Through the Woods' which is a graphic novel short story collection which whilst not being a series of fairy tale retellings absolutely pulls on the motifs - female relatives who are not as they seem, homes which feel like prisons, actions having moral consequences, the fear of the dark and the monster in the woods. I think many of the stories carry a theme of teenage fears and the art makes a lovely use of space to convey isolation and loneliness at times. Lovely quick read.

Got a few more books I hope to read this year which will fit the challenge and if there is any interest I'll drop some notes in here. I do try to review everything I read but feel as I am getting older I have less to say that's particularly insightful but we've all got to add a hobby haven't we?
