Location: UK		Jim.I am reading The Stars are Ours right now on Open Library. I think there ws a lot of dislike of scientists around at that time. I remember in Miller's A Canticle for Leibowitz the scientists were purged. And in The Long Tomorrow things werent going well for them either! lol.Of course the effect of Hiroshima (remember Oppenheimers famous quote ''I am Death,the destroyer of worlds'' ?) lead to the whole scientific community being looked on askance!No wonderthe SF of the time was so dystopic in view!
