Uber User Posts: 370 Location: Beaverton, Oregon, USA | 7 Books read this month: Altered Carbon - Richard K Morgan - 4 stars - 12 Awards/Book of 1s Exquisite Corpse - Poppy Z Brite - 5 stars - LGBT/ 2nd Best Feed - Mira Grant - 4 stars - Creature Feature Leviathan Wakes - James SA Corey - 3 stars - 1s New Amsterdam - Elizabeth Bear - 1 star - WoG/ENoun/Creature/1s The Bone Clocks - David Mitchell - 5 stars - End of the World The Immortals - James Gunn - 4 stars - GrandMaster The Bone Clocks made me weep uncontrollably. Exquisite Corpse is the most terrifying book I've read in ages. And Feed was a lot more exciting than I'd though it'd be. And, ewwwww...New Amsterdam was terribly disappointing. I'm now signed up for 15 challenges, but have a lot of overlap. The tally so far: I Just HAVE: 12/12 GrandMaster: 12/12 LGBT: 11/12 MasterWorkds 12/12 WoGF: 12/12 2nd Best: 11/12 Fantasia: 12/12 Elizabeth Noun: 3/3 12 Awards: 9/12 The Number...3: 5/9 Read It Again, Sam: 0/6 End of the World: 11/12 Creature Feature: 6/6 Book of 1s: 10/12 Read the Sequel: 8/12 I'm now reading the gigantic "The Dark Defiles" by Richard K Morgan, which will take about 2 weeks I think. So Oct. will probably be less productive numbers-wise, though not page-count-wise. I think I only have 9 total books left to finish all my challenges, except for Read it Again, Sam, which goes to next year. Good luck everyone! | ||
