In October, I read:

The Hero of Ages - Brandon Sanderson (Second Best - Legend, Omnibusters) - Slightly disappointing finale to an otherwise very enjoyable series.
A Wrinkle in Time - Madeleine L'Engle (60s - 1962) - Didn't do much for me.
Shades of Milk and Honey - Mary Robinette Kowal (Second Best - Locus First Novel, Series - J - Jane Ellsworth*) - Really enjoyed this, look forward to reading the sequels.
Timescape - Gregory Benford (12 in 12 - Campbell) - Good, but I kept expecting it to change direction and it never did. Also read for my personal BSFA challenge.
Some Kind of Fairy Tale - Graham Joyce (12 in 12 - Holdstock) - Great contemporary fantasy of possible fairy abduction.
Star Surgeon - James White (60s - 1963) - Enjoyable follow-up to Hospital Station.

That leaves me with these challenges to finish by the end of the year:

12-in-12 - 10/12
Second Best - 10/12
Omnibusters - 7/8
Read More - 7/9

And these ones which run into next year:

1960s: 4/10
Series A-Z: 10/26
2015: 4/6 (I'll probably increase my goal here)

And my two new challenges, which I haven't started:

Tie-ins: 0/3 (Target depends on availability)
1970s: 0/10

* I'd have called this series the Glamourist Histories myself, but I've decided to go with the name as it is in the WWE database, for ease of tracking.

What I Finished Reading in October:
The City & the City by China Miville (2015 12 in 12) - interesting concepts if not easily accessible to all
New Moon by Stephenie Meyer - I'm working my way through this series to make my own opinion of it; not the best books I've read but Meyer has some interesting ideas once you get past the loads of melodrama, which is the biggest challenge for me
The Supernatural Enhancements by Edgar Cantero - gothic ghost story (kind of); a random library find
Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand - I had to force myself to finish it and it is not a short book; not worth the effort, in my opinion
Razorhurst by Justine Larbalestier (Keep Calm and Read SF from Down Under, 2015 Trick or Treat) - it was interesting to live in this very Australian world for a bit
Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling (Series A to Z) - classic; if you haven't read it you should
The Forever War by Joe Haldeman (2015 12 in 12, Series A to Z & SF Masterworks) - first read of this classic and it well deserves the praise
Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke (2015 12 in 12) - a very Victorian novel; the style may put off some people but it was entertaining
Ancillary Sword by Ann Leckie (2015 12 in 12, Series A to Z) - second Imperial Radch novel; better than it's predecessor
Tithe by Holly Black - Modern Faerie Tales book 1; interesting intro to Black's dark faerie world
Rendezvous with Rama by Arthur C. Clarke (2015 12 in 12, Series A to Z) - first read of this classic, as well; one of my new favorite books
The Three-Body Problem by Cixin Liu - like Razorhurst, it was interesting to live in a world so unlike my own, in this case, communist China
I Am Legend by Richard Matheson (SF Masterworks, Definitive 50's SF) - reread of this classic; no filmed adaptation has done justice to the source material
Mass Effect: Revelation by Drew Karpyshyn (TIE-IN Fighter) - I really enjoy the author and the universe; a win/win for fans like me
Valiant by Holly Black - Modern Faerie Tales book 2; better than Tithe; street kids get high on faerie magic
(wow, I guess I read a lot more than I thought I did )

Remaining Challenges (in the order of when they end):
05/2016 - Keep Calm and Read SF from Down Under (1/12)
07/2016 - Cat Quest (2/3)
07/2016 - New Books of 2015 (2/18)
08/2016 - SF Masterworks (2/12)
12/2016 - Audiobook (0/15)
12/2016 - Series A to Z (5/26)
12/2016 - Definitive 1950's SF (3/10)
12/2016 - Definitive 1960's SF (2/15)
12/2016 - Definitive 1970's SF (0/10)
12/2016 - TIE-IN Fighter - 1/12

Completed Challenges:
2015 12 in 12 - 12/12
2015 Trick or Treat - 1/1

Since I just joined back the site back in September, I'm waiting for the new batch of RYO after the first of the year to really dive into the challenges.
