When You Reach Me is listed as fantasy on WWEnd, but I've read the book and definitely consider it science fiction. (Spoilery plot summary available on Wikipedia for anyone who wants further details about its genre.)

Changed it after reading the wiki entry. Also seems a candidate for the Detective fiction Challenge.

Thank you! And yeah, I suppose the protagonist could be considered an amateur sleuth. It seems to me that SFF fans are less likely to consider the book a mystery than mainstream literature fans; for instance, looking at mine and my GR friends' reviews, I see that none of us shelved this book as a mystery. But there are enough mystery elements that anyone who wanted to count it towards the Detective Fiction Challenge could certainly do so.
