Uber User Posts: 370 Location: Beaverton, Oregon, USA | Welcome everyone! This is the forum for the LGBTQ Speculative Fiction Reading Challenge. We already have 8 folks in the challenge. Remember that you can find books that won or were nominated for Lambda Literary and Gaylactic Spectrum awards in the WWE LGBTQ Speculative Fiction Resource here: https://www.worldswithoutend.com/lists_LGBTQSF.asp . Also, Sable Aradia compiled a list of LGBTQIA authors on her blog which can be found here: https://dianemorrison.wordpress.com/diversity-in-sff/

Member Posts: 36 Location: Windsor, Ontario | Hi, I'm reading Gentleman Jole and the Red Queen, which is on the LGBTQ Spec Resource List, but doesn't come up with a Box Check for this RYO Challenge. Can it be added? THx!

Can it be added? THx! Hey Adele, you've already filled your LGBTQ list which is why you won't see that check box on any more books. You need to take a book off you list to make room for Gentleman Jole or bump up your reading challenge level. Good luck!

Member Posts: 14 Location: BC, Canada | Thank you for creating this challenge! I've maxed out the highest level, thanks to the Laundry Files series. Any chance of getting another tier?

Uber User Posts: 370 Location: Beaverton, Oregon, USA | Glad you enjoyed the challenge, pixel! The challenges have a max of 4 levels. I'll probably host this again next year and may up the number of books for each level. Maybe something like 3, 6, 12, 18. Anyone else have thoughts?

Member Posts: 14 Location: BC, Canada | Good to know about the reading levels. That looks like a good spread for next year. I don't know whether I'll be able to make 18, but participating in the challenge this year has made me notice the variety of identities and orientations in the authors and characters of what I'm reading, and there's lots of diversity there.
