Hi everyone,

I've created this challenge to honor the legacy of Christopher Tolkien who passed away on January 16, 2020. He brought a ton of his father's unpublished work to us in the form of novels and scholarly research. While some of the work like the History of Middle Earth series can be tough to read, it adds so much to our understanding of the imagination and efforts of his father.

Use this forum to talk about what you're reading or just to share thoughts on Christopher and J.R.R. Tolkien.

My desire to finish the History of Middle Earth series has been stymied by the closure of the library. I was planning to get them from the library and had vol. 9 on hold before the pandemic closed it.

That's a shame. The History of Middle Earth books seem perfect for lockdown reading.
