Random quote: Even the past is now no longer and the future is now not yet; In that not yet there is still some consolation, it is not here, but it will come. But what will we do when the future is no longer? How different is a future that is not yet from that which is no longer? How different that absence is. The first is full of promise, the second an apocalypse. -- Gaustine, Notes on the End of Time -- Georgi Gospodinov (Time Shelter)

Just finished it, wow. I loved it. I grew up in the 80's played AD&D and watched the Goonies, this was a great nostalgia trip. Even the intro gave me goosebumps. I have a 12 year old son, and he loved it to, even if he did not have a relationship to the 80's. Its part Goonies part Stephen King with a tiny dash of Lovecraft horror (dimensional shambler). I agree, I also loved the show. Reminiscent of my youth also but I think the show holds up very well in its plot and characters even without that nostalgia factor. I second that recommendation.
